TORONTO - The Glenn Gould Foundation today announced the appointment of Glenn Morley as president of its Board of Directors.  Morley, a Toronto-based composer, conductor and musical director, has an extensive background in theatrical, television and film media.

Glenn Morley has credits as Composer/Musical Director/Conductor for more than 1500 projects or television episodes, garnering numerous nominations and awards including the Gemini Awards, Emmy’s and Genies.  He has been Music Director of the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards for 5 years and been the Composer/Music Director for more than 80 stage productions including his latest project as the Musical Director/Composer for the Michael Lee-Shin Crystal Opening Ceremonies at the Royal Ontario Museum.  Mr. Morley is also active in concert music, having his works performed by orchestras across Canada including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the National Arts Centre Orchestra to name a few.

Morley recently stated at the Annual General Meeting, “I am excited to have the honour to serve as the Glenn Gould Foundation’s Board of Directors.  Having worked on many other Boards, this is a logical step in my career path.”
