Christine Elliott, Chair

Christine Elliott has 15 years of experience in public service. During her tenure as Ontario’s Minister of Health from 2018 to 2022, Christine played an integral part in overseeing the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this role, she sponsored The People’s Health Care Act and enacted the Connecting Care Act. Christine also served as Ontario’s Deputy Premier (2018 to 2022) and as Ontario’s first Patient Ombudsman (2016 to 2018). Christine, along with her husband James (Jim) Flaherty, was a founding partner of Flaherty, Dow, Elliott & McCarthy. Later, Christine and Jim co-founded Abilities Centre in Whitby, Ontario, which supports and celebrates the abilities of all people, regardless of their challenges. She has held positions on a range of boards in the health care sector since becoming involved as a volunteer with several charities including Lakeridge Health Whitby Foundation, Durham Mental Health Services, and Grandview Children’s Centre. Christine graduated from the University of Western Ontario law school and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1980.

Kim Campbell

The Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell, PC, CC, OBC, QC, Vice-Chair

Kim Campbell is a Canadian politician, diplomat, lawyer, and writer. She served as the 19th prime minister of Canada and is the first and only female prime minister of Canada. She was the first woman to serve as defense minister of a NATO country. She is the founding principal of the Peter Lougheed Leadership College at the University of Alberta (2014-2018) and was chairperson of the Independent Advisory Board for Supreme Court of Canada Judicial Appointments (2016-2021). She lives in Florence and Vancouver.

Bruce Munro Wright, OBC, Secretary

Bruce Munro Wright, OBC is a retired lawyer and volunteer leader in the Canadian charitable sector, focussing on arts, arts education, conservation, literacy, scholarship and social causes. He has chaired or chairs Vancouver Opera, Vancouver Art Gallery, United for Literacy (Frontier College), Pride in Art, and Health Arts Society (Concerts in Care) and led special events fundraising for MOCA Toronto, Arts Umbrella (Splash), Chor Leoni and Vancouver Symphony. He is recognized as one of the 500 most influential business leaders in B.C. by Business in Vancouver and was appointed in 2022 to the Order of British Columbia.  He lives in Vancouver and Toronto.

Saavin Lidder, Treasurer

Saavin Lidder is an Associate at Boston Consulting Group. She works primarily in BCG’s Industrial Goods, Private Equity, and Climate & Sustainability practices. She previously worked at a Canadian legal-tech startup and a global consumer packaged goods company. While completing her degree in Finance at the University of British Columbia, she conducted research on prosocial consumption and corporate governance under the Dean and several Associate Deans of the Sauder School of Business. Saavin is also a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, and lives in Toronto and Vancouver.

John Dirks

John Dirks, CM, MD

John Dirks is the president and scientific director emeritus of the Gairdner Foundation. He was the former dean of medicine at University of Toronto (1987-1991) and the former dean-rector of the Aga Khan University, Pakistan (1994-1996). His awards include the 2009 Biomedical Science Ambassador Award from Partners in Research and the Banting Research Foundation, the 2010 TBI Lifetime Achievement Award from the Biotechnology Initiative, and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He was inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame in 2012. He lives in Toronto.

Hon. Shawn Graham


Hon. Shawn Graham

The Honourable Shawn Graham served as the 31st Premier of New Brunswick, where he spearheaded initiatives aimed at achieving self-sufficiency for the province. His tenure was marked by a steadfast commitment to advancing energy conservation, fostering job creation through sustainable and innovative policies, and building a world-class education system.
The Graham government partnered in launching the Sistema after-school orchestral program, the largest program of its kind in Canada, using music education and performance as an instrument for social development and each student’s realization of their full human potential.
As President and C.E.O. of G&R Holdings Inc., Shawn Graham and his team are at the forefront of developing and implementing global projects and strategic business alliances, particularly emphasizing expanding opportunities in Asia.
In addition to his role at G&R Holdings Inc., previous and current board appointments include IntelliPharmaCeutics International, Canada House Wellness Group, and PureLife Carbon.
A dedicated environmentalist and conservationist, Mr. Graham is a long-time board member of Ducks Unlimited Canada, which manages 12,972 habitat projects. He will become the President of the Board of D.U.C. in 2026.

Richard Lupien

Formerly with National Bank Financial, where he held the position of Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Richard Lupien is a convinced and committed philanthropist. For over 15 years, he has been involved as a volunteer with many causes and organizations, making numerous donations, as well as soliciting donations from those in his network. He has served on the boards of several organizations, and sits on the Governing Council of HEC Montréal. In 2015, he was awarded the prize for the advisor “most engaged in his community” by Finance et Investissement.

Carol E. Reiley

Carol E. Reiley

Carol E. Reiley is an entrepreneur, investor, and leading Artificial Intelligence roboticist. She is CEO of a healthcare tech start-up, a collaborative partner of the San Francisco Symphony, a World Economics Forum Young Global Leader, and the founder of DeepMusic.ai. She is a pioneer in teleoperated and autonomous robot systems in surgery, space exploration, disaster rescue, and self-driving cars. Reiley has worked at Intuitive Surgical, Lockheed Martin and General Electric. She lives in Portland.

Nada Ristich

Nada Ristich

Nada Ristich is retired from BMO Financial Group after 28 years as Head, Community Giving where she had a distinguished career. Under her leadership, BMO Financial Group received numerous awards and recognition for transforming corporate philanthropy in Canada and the United States. Nada has worked with numerous charitable organizations over the years volunteering her advice and experience to elevate and enrich the arts, culture, humanities, education, healthcare and civic causes. Countless not-for-profit and community leaders have benefitted from her mentorship and engaged leadership. Nada has also been recognized with many awards for her many accomplishments including the Queen’s Jubilee Award for voluntary service, a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from the University of Toronto, the Arts Champion Award from the Council on Canadian American Relations, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto’s Luminary Award.

Peter Simon

Peter Simon is the President Emeritus of The Royal Conservatory of Music ( RCM). He served as President and CEO of the RCM for 33 years and founded a number of programs utilised by millions of people including the Glenn Gould School, the Oscar Peterson Program, Learning Through the Arts, The ARC Ensemble, and the Marilyn Thomson Early Childhood Education Centre. Through his interest in the convergence of music, cognitive neuroscience and technology, The RCM launched Smart Start, a program founded through a collaboration between The RCM’s early childhood music education faculty, resident neuroscience team, and digital education developers. In 2005 he initiated a large scale building campaign that led to the renovation of The RCM’s historic building and the opening of Koerner Hall in 2009, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest concert halls in the world today. Prior to his work at The RCM Peter Simon was President and CEO of the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. His training in music as a pianist began at The RCM and included studies at the Juilliard School and in London, England. He completed a Doctoral Degree at the University of Michigan with the legendary musician Leon Fleisher. He is married to the celebrated pianist Dianne Werner and they have two children and three grandchildren.

Anu Srivastava

Anu Srivastava is a community leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with extensive experience across healthcare, arts, culture, and public service. She is the Founder of V Serve Canada, an organization dedicated to promoting community wellness through arts, music, and cultural initiatives, including the Living with Wellness Arts Festival, the only Arts & Wellness Festival in Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area, delivered in partnership with Trillium Health Partners. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of ARRA Arts, a platform that supports local artistic talent and celebrates Canada’s cultural diversity.

Anu brings over 20 years of professional experience as a senior finance executive within municipal governmentand the hospital sector. She has demonstrated strong leadership in the not-for-profit space, contributing to organizations such as Panorama India, and has played a key role in raising over $14 million in support of Trillium Health Partners, Canada’s largest community hospital system. Her philanthropic work includes leadership in education and women’s welfare initiatives, notably managing a $500,000 sponsored program supporting the education, nutrition, and shelter of underprivileged girls. Anu currently serves as a Board Director with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and the Glenn Gould Foundation, and as a Committee Member of the Trillium Health Partners Foundation.

Her contributions have been recognized through numerous honours, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal, Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Award, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award, Leading Women Building Communities (Premier of Ontario), Jewels of India – Leading Indo-Canadian Personalities, the City of Mississauga Heritage Chairman’s Award, and the Mississauga Arts Council’s Arts for Mental Health Award.

Jayne Watson

Ms. Watson has more than 25 years experience as a senior fundraising executive, political advisor, and consultant. For more than 20 years she worked at Canada’s National Arts Centre (NAC). During her years as CEO of the NAC Foundation, she raised more than $150 million to support creation, learning and performance initiatives across Canada. Prior to joining the NAC, she served as the Director of Communications at Export Development Canada, and held senior communications roles in the Office of the Speaker of the House of Commons and Canada Post Corporation. She is currently a Director on the Board of Business/Arts, a Canadian-based charitable organization that shows the power of partnership between business and the arts.

Brendan Calder

Brendan Calder is professor of management, emeritus at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto where he conducted the award-winning MBA course, GettingItDone. Prior to that he had a 30 year career managing financial services companies. He has been the chair of TIFF, the Peter Drucker Foundation and the Mcluhan Festival. He has also served on the boards of EllisDon, FirstService and Haventree Bank. He lives in Toronto. 

Phyllis Clark

Phyllis Clark

Phyllis Clark is the chair of the Royal Canadian Mint, and of the Edmonton Symphony and Concert Hall Foundation. She serves on the board of the Alberta Investment Management Corporation, Inuvialuit Investment Committee, and the University Hospital Foundation. Earlier she was the vice-president of finance and administration at the University of Alberta for 14 years, and at York University for six years. She also served the Province of Ontario at the assistant deputy minister level in various central agencies, including as the chief economist for the province. She lives in Edmonton.

Earlier he was the vice-president of corporate banking with Citibank in Canada and Switzerland. His Order of Canada citation highlighted “his influential leadership in business, and for his significant contribution to numerous arts organizations and health care institutions.” He lives in Toronto.

Gary Goldberg

Gary Goldberg is the president of a Toronto-based private investment company. He was an Alumni member of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto, and has served on its Executive Committee. He also served as Chair of University of Toronto’s Innovations Foundation.
His community involvements and leadership roles include President of The Glenn Gould Foundation, and serving as a director of Gairdner Foundation, Siminovitch Theatre Foundation, the Barbara Turnbull Foundation for Spinal Cord Research, Nature Conservancy of Canada and Chair, of NCC’s Ontario Regional Board. Gary was conferred an honorary degree by Technion- Israel Institute of Technology. His Order of Canada citation reads: “For his decades of philanthropic leadership and contributions to scientific, health, environmental and educational initiatives.” He lives in Toronto.

Beverley McLachlin is the former Chief Justice of Canada. She currently holds the position of Justice of Singapore’s International Commercial Court and Non-Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong. She is the author of Truth Be Told: My Journey Through Life and the Law (Simon & Shuster, 2019) and the forthcoming novel Denial. She is a Companion of the Order of Canada and Commandeur of the Legion D’Honneur, and is the recipient of over 35 honorary degrees from universities in Canada and abroad, and numerous other honours and awards. She lives in Ottawa and Vancouver.

Glenn Morley

Glenn Morley is a Toronto-based composer, conductor, music director, producer, and director of SOCAN. He has credits for more than 2,000 television episodes and film projects, earning numerous nominations and awards. Morley has produced and orchestrated works for several recording artists, including Gino Vannelli, Alfie Zappacosta, Mark Masri, and Amy Sky, and he has conducted orchestral performances for a wide range of acts, including Holly Cole, The Priests, and World Rock Symphony Orchestra. He lives in Toronto.

Viggo Mortensen is an actor, director, publisher, poet, photographer, painter, and musician. He has received various Academy Award nominations for Best Actor. He starred in The Lord of the Rings, Eastern Promises, The Road, Green Book and Captain Fantastic. His directorial debut Falling appeared in 2020. He owns and runs Perceval Press, a book publishing company. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, French, and Danish and has released three jazz albums. He lives in Los Angeles.
