Our Vital Work
Our comprehensive program of cultural and educational initiatives includes promoting young artists, concerts, lectures, symposia, cultural collaborations, commissions and web-based activities. Every two years we award the internationally recognized Glenn Gould Prize and the Glenn Gould Protégé Prize.
We expand visions of what is artistically and technologically possible, we encourage transformational individual successes, and we help place humanitarian culture at the forefront of our national identity.

The Glenn Gould Foundation Inc. is an independent New York not-for-profit corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Glenn Gould Foundation is affiliated with and providing financial support to the similarly named Canadian charitable organization, The Glenn Gould Foundation. Though independent entities, both foundations are devoted to honoring Glenn Gould’s spirit and legacy by promoting creativity and helping to transform lives through the power of music and the arts. While the U.S. foundation regularly provides financial support to the Canadian foundation in the form of grants, please note that donations to the U.S. foundation may not be earmarked for use by the Canadian foundation, but will take your desired use of such funds for the benefit of the affiliated Canadian foundation into consideration. Further, please note that U.S. taxpayers may only deduct contributions to the U.S. foundation for U.S. income tax purposes.
